No — escrow is optional but strongly recommended. ExitBid does not provide escrow directly; we point parties to licensed providers such as Escrow.com. Escrow fees are charged by the provider (typically around 3% of the transaction), not by ExitBid.
ExitBid collects the $199 Seller listing fee by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay) through our Merchant of Record. Buyers do not pay ExitBid anything — bidding is free after one-time phone & email verification. The final sale price is not processed by ExitBid; it moves directly between Seller and Buyer, optionally through third-party escrow.
